All jewelry on this site is hand-crafted in Eastern North Carolina near the Atlantic Ocean.

I am  the owner and artist of Shorebirds Jewelry. I am a Mountaineer from West Virginia, born, raised and educated in Morgantown. I was an English teacher in the public schools of West Virgina for over 20 years before moving to North Carolina to continue my career in education. Now I am basicly retired (still doing some consulting in literacy) and devoting my time to my family and my art.

A mountaineer on the beach...living on an island. Sounds like a perfect mix for creativity.

NOTE: All metals types are listed as  used. All shells and found objects have been washed and dipped in Shellac to preserve shine and appearance.
